Really. At least Underwood is intelligent and self aware.

I was thinking the same thing, "Well, if he was like 19 when he wrote this, it's sort of excusable." But of course he was firmly in middle age.
I was really surprised and pleased, as a big Wilburys fan, when I saw Petty in concert a couple of years ago and "Tweeter…" was part of the set.
On a side note, my husband and I have always called them (with affection), the Wandering Wheelbarrows.
Are you another closeted Parrothead that you are aware of this musical's existence?
He hasn't written a decent song in God knows how long, but he had his moments back in the day. "A Pirate Looks at Forty" is probably the best known example, which Joan Baez and Bob Dylan did a great cover of.
Yeah, I've seen Buffett like 14 times and I can't think of any other moves, either. Maybe saying "salt, salt, salt" and sort of gesturing towards the stage during the chorus of "Margaritaville"? It's not like Rocky Horror or something.
Lots of excitement in my family! My daughter is coming home from college for Christmas break on Saturday, and the whole family is heading an hour away to the "good" theater to see it on Sunday afternoon. Bought our tickets on Nov. 8, and seats were limited even back then.
-I've been meaning to rewatch, but haven't…
My initials are LJ, and back in the 90's I had a dog. I had a friend who referred to us as "LL Cool J and Snoop Dogg". That's all I got.
As the child of good liberal parents, when my daughter got her license and some money to spend she would rebel by going to Walmart and buying Lunchables.
This morning I heard that A7x is part of a local "Rock Fest" next month, and somehow I feel that if I showed up at the concert, I'd fit right in just because of my exposure to these posts.
That was my teen era, too, and it had to include Polo cologne for the guys. Sometimes it smelled like they pumped it through the ventilation system at my high school.
My whole world lies waiting behind

That was the very first thing I thought of. Hell, Opus got called out on that one in 1984, so Hill has no excuse.
And a thumbs-up for the Guy Clark reference!
Say hey from a fellow Yooper!
In my family, the two lines are, "Nothin' but the best!" and "Let's take a look at day one, shall we?". The first works for many situations, but the second is almost always a non-sequitor that only makes sense to my mom and brother.
This was a fun book. Wisconsin Public Radio recently featured it on their "Chapter a Day" program, and I caught most of it. I'll look for the film on Netflix in the future!
Have you bought concert tickets through Ticketmaster recently? That's how I got the trial subscription a while back that was my first exposure to RS since college.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. That inspirational speech she gave made me groan out loud. (Even as fan service to Derek's speech it was a bit much.) The other thing that struck me was that the doctors didn't really seem to give a shit about whether Derek lived or died until they found out he was also a doctor.…
God, yes! The magical "if… then"!
Dawes has a new single out! WHY ARE WE NOT DISCUSSING IT?
