please promise me you'll continue these comments in non-Hannibal articles long after the series ends

I share your disappointment in not seeing Hannibal get any of his delightful revenge, there was almost too much going on tonight to fully squeeze into a single episode. However, I was so satisfied with the ending between Will and Hannibal that it sort of made up for it.

*eel swims back out of Mason's mouth*
That's a moooorrrrrrrraaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Jack's real self-conscious about his vitiligo and weight loss, so we don't talk about that

"So why exactly didn't you push for a strong advertising campaign for this show?"

If the rest of this series is anything to go by, it's going to be the BEST filmed version of Red Dragon.

You're right, I don't know how I forgot about this the other night. Other than my mind still being stuck on the "WHAT THE FUCK" ending

It's amazing that for as much as I hate Hannibal Lecter, for all of the shit he has put the characters through and his terrible manipulation of Will, I actually found that line and entire scene pretty bittersweet and moving.

Last night was one of the first times where I was truly thinking, "NO, THEY CAN'T FUCKING DO THIS TO WILL"

I'm also thinking Chekov's cane, with as many times as they've shown closeups of Alana holding that thing. They might be putting that thing to good use instead of a cattle prod.

Maybe Verger had some goons show up and they got there right in the nick of time? Or somehow Chiyo intervened and they eventually ended up at Muskrat Farm? I have no clue what the hell happens to get them from point A to point B, but I have never been this excited to find out.

NO WE'RE NOT GONNA FAHKING DO BIG ME

She is wearing a wig for this mini-series too, which makes it even weirder that they didn't choose to go with something closer to her original hair color. But I can live with it.

QOTSA should be the go-to rock band, but I guess they're just a little too 'out there' for the average rock listener?

I get that you were making fun of hipsters more than St. Vincent herself, but dude, STV rules.

I've never been to California in my life, but for some reason "Good Grief" gives me surfy California vibes. What a fucking great song to blare while driving.

I agree in terms of overall presence, personality, likability, etc. but as far as music goes (and I say this as a big fan of Foo Fighters), Josh Homme is much more of a rock and roll legend. Holy shit, can that dude write some great music.

It's one of those dumb missteps they made years ago that people still like to give them shit for even though they no longer support it. Because people can't simply live with criticizing their music, apparently.

He never actually got to wash her hair as far as I remember, he was about to draw a bath though

I swear when Will was looking around through the woods, there was a lingering shot of an out of focus branch/tree trunk that looked a LOT like the Hannibal stag from season 2. I couldn't tell if it was intentional or just my imagination. Knowing Fuller, it was probably intentional.
