The thing is, it's a very different show than it was in the first 2 seasons. Those seasons were far more concerned about the different powers, and it was all anchored on Nathan, who was such an electric presence. Without Nathan, what they've done is made the show a lot more daring with its form. It didn't entirely

I actually don't have any beef with RuPaul or Bunheads, and I wasn't trying to comment on their actual quality. I was simply noting that they seem to be the kind of shows which might elicit a "it's one of my favorites, but I wouldn't call it great" (in fact, I think a lot of reality TV feels that way). In other words,

What does that even mean? There's not some arbitrary standard out there of what great TV is. There's no such thing as picking a list like this "objectively". Even if there were, that's clearly not how this list was picked. Is RuPaul's Drag Race objectively a great show? Is Bunheads? I have watched neither, so I don't

So, nobody at the AV Club watched "Misfits" then?

I got a fantastic deal on all 5 seasons of this little gem called "The Wire". Guys…I don't know if you've heard or not, but that shit is thoroughly good.

Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad) - Narrowly edging out Walt
Saul Berenson (Homeland)
Leslie Knope (Parks and Rec) - In a 10-way tie with every other character on that show. I love them all so much.
Rudy (Misfits)
Sherlock (Sherlock)
Sue Heck (The Middle)
Barney Stinson (HIMYM) - However much the show fades, NPH keeps knocking

I kind of loved the John Hodgman Nerdist, though perhaps that was mostly due to my excitement when Hodgman told a story about his Daily Show coworker, The Flophouse's own Elliott Kalan. I felt like my podcast worlds were colliding.

His interview with Adam West was delightful. He mentioned doing a longer more in-depth interview with him at another time, which I hope we still get. West is exactly as charming, self-effacing and zany as you would hope.

It's an even better Spike episode though. James Marsters' just gives a really moving performance. There's his face as he realizes that the Buffy

Hugh can talk to his agents, talk to Jon's agents, talk to John, but…well, you know the rest.
