Exactly.
Exactly.
Aaaaaaaand that's all the more I need to know. Thanks. *Covers ears and walks away humming, "La, la, la, la, la…"*
I only saw bits of that rant of his in articles, but goddamn, that was all the more I needed to see. Holy fuck.
Meant to add in "good luck" wishes for the internship earlier! That'd be cool. Hope all goes well.
Working in retail can be very fun and interesting in terms of hearing random conversations. It's amazing the stuff people feel the need to spill in public.
I really need to get moving on checking out "Hannibal". All the talk about the finale has me extremely curious, and I'm trying my best to avoid spoilers!
Oh, wow, it must've been a long time for me, 'cause I have no memory of either of those things-I mainly just remember Carrey's antics throughout at certain points. Now you have me curious to watch the film again and see if I notice those things myself!
Aw, thank you! I like your comments, too.
If your head doesn't explode after that propaganda viewing assignment, consider it a success. Oy. My head hurts just thinking about the idea.
I just finished watching 'The Normal Heart', and I can't disagree with some of your issues with the film. There was a definite distance about it throughout-I suspect that was partially intentional, to show just how isolated the gay community felt during that time in general from the rest of the world (and vice versa).…
I like it, too. "Walk On" is fantastic, and I've mentioned before on here how personal "Kite" is to me.
Yeah, I'd imagine the difference would be quite noticeable. But thanks for the tip-if I come across it I'll give it a listen anyway, 'cause I'm curious now.
I showed my mom the clip of them singing with Davy Jones and that made her like U2 even more. It looked like a really fun moment-lucky you.
Yep. I get that image in my head all the time, too. I love it when music can conjure up images like that in my mind.
Ooh, I don't believe I've heard any live clip with that transition. I'll have to see if I can find an example of that.
LOVE "Gone". The guitar work alone…and like you note, the lyrics are great, too.
I've heard that statement, too. They did have some good songs pre-disco, no argument there-I particularly like "Massachusetts", myself.
When my family moved from Wyoming to Colorado, during the drive through Wyoming, I was playing Unforgettable Fire at one point and listening to it on my headphones.
Mmhm. And I don't know what effects they used on the song but at some point there's this odd rubbery-sounding noise that makes me feel like I'm underwater, and then it makes me want to go hang out at a pool.
I actually want to see that happen now.
