I was superpumped about the Arcade Fire/National shows announced for Chicago (got tickets), but an Arcade Fire/Portishead tour would truly make my head explode.
I don't think of "Love Guru" as a hockey comedy, but then I don't really think of "Love Guru" at all.
The shame here, to me, is that I thought the trailer for Red State looked really exciting. Anytime that Smith (or any filmmaker, for that matter) seems to be stretching his wings, I think it's admirable - even if it leads to dreck like Cop Out (also why I give a pass to Dogma, which I find muddled but interesting).
