I did some of the kid ferrying this weekend too. One kid to Saturday dance class; the other (teenage enough to have gfriend but not yet old enough to drive) to ask his gfriend to the homecoming dance (apparently "hoco" to kids today).
Makes me think of the Chris Cornell cameo (right before the clip of Soundgarden performing "Like a Ritual") in "Singles."

Love that INXS track…also dig the Foos, Bowie and SOAD.
Got to see Static-X, Slayer and Pantera live many years ago…not long before Pantera broke up (RIP Dimebag).
Thought my magic music shuffler was messing with me on the first track (granted, I was the one who put it on my playlists):

I'm not a big IPA fan but I dig the Ranger.
Star Wars — perhaps you've heard of it — was my original pop culture obsession and formative movie experience. I was 6 in 1977 when the first one was released and it has been with me ever since.

I listened to Rust In Peace last week when I picked up my 15yo son from school. He has grown into such a rap/hip-hop fan I needed some counter programming.
You could probably get a research grant somewhere to test your theory. You might have a full blown Law of Fuck on your hands.
That is so poignant and fitting about your grandmother being in the hospital once on family land.
