Er, I mean that Angel the character wasn't getting too deep into W&H, not Angel the show becoming too deep thematically.

Andrew
I love Andrew's character in Season 7. He adds a lot of levity to a very grim (and sometimes overly speechy) season.

Why Kennedy Should (Not) Have Been Shot
I stated last week that someone introduced this week is my least favorite character in all of the Buffyverse. People who have seen the show before knew immediately that I was talking about Kennedy. SPOILERS to follow.

These weren't teachers, but we meet the principal in S2, which leads to a lot of development for Asst. Principal Clemmons. I also like how his relationship with Veronica evolved over the first two seasons.

Personally, I think one thing that made the rip-off aspect worse was that the creator of Moonlight was David Greenwalt, co-creator of Angel. Not only was he lazy, he tried to redo something he already made.

Everybody Wang Chun Or I'll Kick Your Ass
I love that line. That and "Everybody dance NOW" by GOB in the second season of Arrested Development.

Obligatory Hazards of Love love reply.

I'd say he's a pretty bad person. He projects homophobia due to his discomfort with being homophobic and he lies to his clients. However, he is certainly an entertaining bad person.

Thewayigetby, your comment made me realize that the Avatar world probably has a sport called Mixed Bending Arts, or MBA for short.

Maybe I'm just too much of an optimist. I am aware that a chain of command exists in all militaries, but I was under the impression that some level of independent thought was allowed and/or desired. I'm not a military historian, so I don't know win/loss records for various armies, but like the Fire Nation, the

Which is probably a good thing. If Aang had tried to learn Firebending before the events of The Firebending Masters, he would have learned the improper, anger-based method.

Two things I absolutely despised in DH2 were the treatment of Slytherin and Snape's memories. Granted, I think the treatment of Slytherin throughout the series was poor. Not a single Slytherin outside of Slughorn and Snape (which we don't learn about until the very end of the series) had a single redeeming quality.

I just assumed that the "crawling" line showed his contempt for other people. He's an old, jaded soul who has no qualms about using others for his own means. I still just see the episode as explicitly stating that some hyperspace phlebotenum is responsible for stopping the aging process, which occurred sometime in

Yes, he was alive when humans were only on Earth because the cause of his immortality was an accident with one of the hyperspace gates.

…frak.

This Week And Next
When I saw which episodes were going to be reviewed for this week and next week, I was amazed at how little I could remember what happened in them based solely on their titles. With most of Whedon's stuff, I can remember at least the basic plot of each episode based only on their titles. After

Giles Returning
I'm conflicted as to whether or not to put a SPOILER tag here, as this is a response to something Noel said, but it's plot-related. Well, sort of SPOILER just in case.

Dick Logan? The secret hybrid of Dick Casablancas and Logan Echolls? Yes please!
