My parents owned a couple of Grace Jones albums, but "Slave To The Rhythm" is probably the one that gave me the most nightmares:

The series is also a great reference point for all of the ideas being raised in the movie, with the added benefit that there is an entire season to tease them out. The series also manages to add some much needed levity at times (no, not just from the Tatchkomas), whereas the movie, while beautiful, can be a bit

the visuals always struck me as a bit lame, but it did introduce my jazz-ignorant ears to Tomasz Stańko, so there's that at least.

'98-99, I was just getting into electronic music, and it was around the time in the US when quite a few electronic acts were cutting into the mainstream.  So I bought "Homework", which was good but I remember being underwhelmed by anything that wasn't "Revolution 909".

It should've been Edith.

And Lance Reddick's music is the most terrible of all.  Yes, of all the music, ever.

The last point seems a bit unfair to me.  Asking for a bit of growth from the guy doesn't have to necessarily come from a some sort of privileged outsider-ism.  The guy literally harps on the same themes in *every* movie and stage-play and approaches those themes with all the grace of an elephant on rollerblades.

Even just *thinking* about that toilet scene makes me chuckle:

That's a good point.  Heh, even other characters in the book were both mad and stupefied by what she did.  Readers, thanks to the benefit of internal monologue, could better understand her reasons (even if they were still, pretty dumb).

Re: Cat & Littlefinger

"So how was your first three weeks on the job Daisy?"

In the books he was more apt to let out his sadistic tendencies against small animals (usually with that crossbow).

I think the link might be difficult to see because originally the term "Dubstep" didn't describe a type of music, but moreso was just a label for the musical output of a group of producers, living in a certain area, sharing the same type of influences. Horsepower productions made "dubstep", and Vex'd made
