"if you have superpowered beings with God-like powers fighting it out, you are going to get a lot of collateral damage."

"Speaking of action, inspired by the Superman V Batman Comicon trailer, I rewatched Man of Steel for the first time in about 18 months last year and you know what? It's pretty fucking good."

That reminds me of that thing where I wish this show was actually about Alfred Kinsey, the more interesting of the ground breaking 20th century sex researchers.

I mean he's hung dong before according to google FYI.

I think the issue is that the TV show kind of sucks whenever you're not watching a scene between just Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan.

I've always assumed that the future will be horrible and I bet in twenty years time idiots will be reposting comments from the AVClub's current Simpson's reviews and be all "haha check out these jerks who couldn't even recognise the Simpsons second golden age as it was happening! LADY GAGA EPISODE FTW"

It does some things really well (mostly the chemistry between Caplan and Sheen) but ultimately this show just isn't very good. People seem really reluctant to admit this thing maybe because of it's subject matter and it's cast and it's period setting etc? But there really isn't much there.

HEY AVCLUB ANY NEWS ON OTHER SHIT NERDS APPLAUDED AT THIS WEEKEND??!!?

They were so smug about it too all "truly we are now the baddest of bad-asses" even though it made zero sense on like seven different levels and the whole thing was so obvious they might as well have stabbed her in front of everyone on the docks.

Coming again to save the mother fucking day, yeah
America, fuck yeah!
Freedom is the only way, yeah

Grayson is amazing tho. Stop reading shitty comics and read Grayson.

Yeah but like it's totally not that thing so don't worry about it?

I literally just clicked on this link just so I could complain about how much I hated Colin Jost and I assumed all twenty whatever comments would be about this subject matter.

The thing about Purple Rain the movie is that it has terrible acting, it's badly directed, it's misogynistic in weird ways, it barely has a script and also it works and is amazing.

There's no real scientific evidence that GMO food is bad for you (also "genetically modified" mostly doesn't mean what people who write irrationally angry facebook posts about why we need GMO labelling because of poison corn or whatever thinks it means)(also "only Mosanto have ever funded studies into the safety of

As someone from a country who forces their businesses to pay their employees a living wage, that $9 an hour brag is hilarious/absolutely fucking horrifying.

I'm re-reading Seven Soldiers right now and it's more amazing than I remember. Also, now that Grant Morrison has finished Multiversity, SS is like a really great chapter in the amazing uber-book that is everything Morrison has ever written in the DC Universe (seriously everything connects together perfectly, even his

Seriously, if Pitchfork wrote an article about how music listeners are overindulged and overly nostalgic because they still want to listen to the Beatles everyone would sure as hell be calling them out on that shit.

That's a pretty good thing though? I mean it's really easy to watch old movies or read old books etc etc. And watching old movies isn't seen as some sort of sign of cultural atrophy or media consumers being overindulged or whatever this article is arguing. Playing old games is actually quite difficult…I've been
