I had no problem with the speed at which Shane solved the mystery of the shooter, since it took him a full two months. That doesn't seem implausible to me. And it is definitely preferable to it being a full season arc.

While I've never actually been around anyone who just suffered a severe brain injury, I suspect what the writers were trying to do was suggest that things may not be the same upstairs after this incident.

Agreed. I cheered when he was staked. Also, you can't have kid actors play characters that don't age. That plan totally falls apart after a year or two and they are about 2 feet taller than when you hired them.

The moment saw Todd Giebenhain behind the counter at the vampire supply store, I started hoping they had gone ahead and done some sort of cross marketing deal with Fox, and had it actually be Frank from Raising Hope working there.

They weren't human siblings. They were just both turned by Godric. She doesn't even look Nordic, not that this show is big on accuracy.

I tried watching this last year, but found the editing, were nearly every commercial is preceded by swelling music and an inconsequential cliff hanger, made it completely un-watchable to me. From this recap it sounds as if that style of editing remains firmly in place, so I will pass.

Don is now two for two on getting someone to hang themself after rejecting them in some way. That is the same way his half brother killed himself during season one, after Don gave him money and told him to go away. That has to be weighing pretty heavy on the guy. I think that is why it was so important to Don, not…

Since the actual opening credits already have a sort of stop motion lego feel to them, this homage seems rather unimaginative to me.
Well the way I interpreted it, was that the Mrs Heinz may have had the impression from her husband that SCDP knew they were ending the account. Spouses don't always know what all is going on in their partner's businesses. Sometimes husbands and wives accidentally say too much. I believe that was the case in the…
What ever happened to that dude who used to work out of a table at one of the local bars? You know, in season 1. Raylan used to go to him for information all the time. He was like a guy from New York or something.
Ask him if he will give in to the Deadwood fans demands, and figure out a way to get Ian McShane on the show.
My favorite part of the episode was watching Quarles get all twitchy right after Limehouse threw the cleaver past his head. Sure the Quarles character might be a little on the cartoonish side, but Neal McDonough is knocking it out of the park with his portrayal of him.
I don't think he is…probably just badly injured, making for a nice "you already had the chair joke."
