This was very good. I felt the immigrant jokes weren't landing too well, but I think a lot of these jokes are growers. Judge's comedies tend to have those kind of jokes that grow old with rather than on you. Either way, really enjoying this.

Yeah, I suppose the story is very different. And even some of the themes are streamlined in the film. I suppose the overall tone could even be transplanted to Alien. I hadn't thought about that. The lack of Mercer really changes the film/what can be done with it.
Guys Blade Runner is based off a book by Philip K. Dick called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" and most definitely does NOT Take place in the same universe as Alien. Also I highly doubt Scott would fuck with an artistic licence that much. Though he is potentially making a sequel. But he still totally wouldn't…
