I don't really understand the reaction to this. Driver is a particularly intimidating actor. He's completely erratic, frightening, and aggressive; and that's just in Girls, where he's also hilarious.

No I got that. I just didn't find it that funny. I get what's funny about it, but that doesn't mean it's funny to me. It felt to me like another middle finger joke, with kind of lame delivery on all parts. No actually. Good idea but, I mean, talk about telegraphing. Like, it was literally just telling me what to expect several seconds before the joke landed. That defeats the humor. And I love Pratt, but his charisma couldn't carry that joke.

So tone was right, but the jokes didn't hit. But that's OK, because I'm guessing the jokes that'd actually match the tone would not be a good commercial trailer. They cherry picked moments that aren't that funny, but are safe, and at least help generate that, as someone said below, farscape vibe. I fuck with this
