I say things I should only have thought.
Peggyhill look what I make — peggyhill brown betty. I figure it out myself, and then make it better. Her recipe missing one thing— flavor. I add flavor— nutmeg flavor. Now taste much better, don't you think, peggyhill?
Oh, so you haven't spoken with the Gypsy woman yet? Then… never mind.
"I like how uncool the Freaks are, as evidenced by Karen’s Journey T-shirt" — actually, Todd, in my experience Journey was still considered "cool" by midwestern high school students in late 70s/early 80s. Many of us grew out of that, luckily.
Agreed on the all-time favorite characters thing. I was already totally loving this show by the time I got to this episode, but Kim Kelly is the closest to feeling like a real person from my high school days (late 70s, so pretty close to the show's time frame). That tough, pretty girl (but not "mean girl fashion…
Aw, man, sorry about your brother. I'm glad you got a chuckle from my post, at least.
My sister owned that Streisand album and let's just say that as a teenage boy in the 70s, I became pretty well acquainted with that cover art.
So what IS up with the almost zero camera time for Mariah? If I hadn't read these comments I wouldn't even know she was still in it. I remember she got zero Vegas time last year, despite an awesome straight-to-Vegas audition — I had to wait til later to confirm she had even been in Vegas — and pretty much the same…
The first group's routine was spectacularly beautiful, but pre-announcing it had a "Boston" angle was straight-up pandering. That's a particular peeve of mine, especially on this show. Let the work do the talking — and it totally did — don't try to influence the judges or audience beforehand.
ALL. FUCKING. FREYS. MUST. FUCKING. HANG.

Agreed. Instant mood shift from FUCK YEAH! to "I think I'm gonna be sick". And it hit me just as hard in my re-read of SoS this year.
I was re-listening to it as I read the comments because I couldn't recall the guitar solo he was ragging about. And a couple minutes later I started feeling creeping rage and realized it was still playing. Luckily I also realized "I don't have to keep listening to this," stopped playback and immediately started…
Dear god they're all classic. But so far this one has made me laugh the hardest: "Last night episode from Game of Thrones was fucked you in a face! Oooh George R.R. Martin and HBO……..FUCK YOU FOR RUINING PEOPLE LIFES!"
Yep, I don't normally talk to the screen but I found myself yelling "Shoot him! God damn!" I mean really, why leave that out?
And Arrested Westeros gets a freebie when Robb literally says, "I've made a terrible mistake". I did hear that right, right?
We deserve it for taping Larry Lester's buns together, even though the bizarre thing is, we did it for our old man.
Props to the person who writes the teasers for the Time Warner program guide, which this week included the line "Sam and Gilly meet an older gentleman."
Haaaaydurrrrr? WhaddarrrrrrrYOOOOOOOOOdoooooneeeeeeeerrrre?
