His wife continues to be the weak link for me. Between the "Does she know her husband's in congress?" and the fact that she so clearly would rather be fucking his best friend, I'm just over her. I feel as though they haven't given her much in the way of defensible motivation. She doesn't trust him because he came back

I find the attention being paid to the way these characters say more or less exactly what they mean to be interesting. It's something I complain about in most situations. "Do people actually talk like that?" is an important question when looking at dialogue, but in this high stakes post-apocalyptic world, I think it

@avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus  Are you seriously telling me you've never heard of a situation in which a powerful person's enemies go after said person's children in order to control  him? Were there not situations in this very episode in which we saw the benefit of using a man's children against

Also, for the record, I'm hoping it's lovers, but expecting it to be father/son. My main (maybe my only) complaint about Dexter is that it's a show that takes place in Miami and yet has NO queer representation at all. If they change that, even if they do so by making the queer characters short tempered homicidal

Someone who has something to lose by people finding out who his father is.

Dexter didn't flirt with him, he talked to him. The gay guy flirted with Dexter and Dex told him something to the effect of "I'm married so no!"

I know right? I was hoping they'd go the cleaner route and just have her dead. I don't like her, I'm sick of her not being all in on being Emily's Revenge slave. And I think it would be interesting going forward. Amanda dead + Emily being God mother to her child = Emily and Jack with something of a makeshift family.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Well not the revenge part, but certainly the loss someone at the hands of David Clark and thereby being more than she seems. I mean 1) No one on this show is just what they appear to be. Except Jack and look at how well that works out for him. 2) I just don't think the show's ready

My money is still on this new guy trying to get Jack's bar as the body in Jack's boat in the season opener. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe it was Declan because I'm pretty much over seeing him on my tv.

On Isaac and Viktor, I'm sticking with paternal until proven otherwise. Not that it couldn't be romantic, but mostly because in 7 years the show hasn't really done anything with GLBT themes so I don't see why I should expect them to start now. Old dog, new tricks etc etc.
