Fair enough, and I'm not watching Revolution (I have an aversion to NBC), but is "It's better than Revolution" really high praise?

I couldn't agree with you more! I was arguing the same point last week. That storyline ticked me off!

Wait, are people really overly concerned with the "timeline" of the show? or how it fits in with our reality? I never knew that was a point of contention. I mean it is Fiction afterall…

I tend to wish most everything I love was on cable. Everything that's not already, obviously.

So what would have been a workable solution in your opinion? The show had to address the issue, and also needed a lot of the crew to choose to stay. How would you have preferred they go about doing that?

I agree with @avclub-85d10ef44fb8c794a7d7e53ba2e2e4a4:disqus on this one. i think it's a combo of the Sec Def's words and Marcus' speech. But either way, I think it's that *most* of the crew changed their minds to want to stay, not *everyone*. As we saw, the Engineer guy still seemed to want to leave but they weren't…

I'm not sure I'd agree with the soap tag (there are things that are way more soapy than Last Resort), but I do understand people not wanting to keep up with it. I think it's still mired in some of its early failings and it's not improving into "A status" TV. I think if it ever start clicking on all cylinders, it could…

It was like they (director or producers?) wanted it to be way more epic/important than it was. So they tried to stylize it (horribly) and never stopped to think "hm why would they be fighting right now exactly?" Ultimately, all of those factors combined to make it a total failure.

As uninteresting as the "daddy stole my masterpiece" storyline is, I give them credit for not letting his duplicity hang over the show for long. I expected him to be all shady and secretive for weeks.
