If I understand you correctly (and I'm honestly not sure that I do), you're saying that losing a million dollars is bad, but losing a million dollars due to being voted out unanimously is worse? And, therefore, it's a better idea to vote with the majority against your alliance in the hopes that the people who don't

I agree with @avclub-91546109eaf110327d50b0955865712a:disqus on this one. I think there's more comedy to be found in how dated he is in his references. For an example of this, see the way they handle Captain America in The Avengers.

I agree with you. I didn't see much point. Someone who's not a DC alum probably wouldn't understand the reference at all. Is she going to be more important to the proceedings? Then she needs something of an origin herself, I would think, to show that she's more than just a random good fighter. My marker is can the

I'm not sure I buy that particular excuse. I found them both horrible in their scenes together, but I think they were undercut by the writing. There's the obsessive repetition as @avclub-c404a5adbf90e09631678b13b05d9d7a:disqus  pointed out, and then the fact that the script seems to have no interest in making them

So basically the Detective is a horrible cop (I mean who handles evidence without gloves on?) and a horrible father. Both of which combine to make him an overall horrible person, and not in that "fun to watch" kind of way either.

Yeah I was assuming it was a general editing thing, but I agree that it would be fun or at least interesting if they stopped worrying about suspense building and went with the truth. If there was a conversation that took place that changed Katie's vote, it could have grander implications to the rest of the showing

Yeah, voting with the rest will probably save her next time. By the next time they go to tribal, they'll all have totally forgotten about her poor performance; you're right on that one….. :-/

What I found interesting about the vote was that even Katie voted for Dawson and I have no clue why. If they were in an alliance together,  shouldn't they have voted the same way? Or more importantly, shouldn't she have not voted out the only ally she has left on the tribe?

One man's obnoxious is another's entertaining. Jeff Probst, shit stirer extraordinaire is one of my favorite parts of this show.

Everything here worked for me except the Aliens. I'm skeptical about that one element because that's just random sci fi silly. If the Aliens are still just inside Evan Peters' cute little head, then I'll be fine (granted the spider microchip seems to suggest otherwise), but if they're real Aliens then that's going to
