Important question for "Deadwood" fans:  Did everyone have a moment of joy when Dan Dority appeared?

I've always wondered:  isn't Hill Valley in California?  Couldn't they  have easily found some oil and refined it?  Doc can make a refrigerator back then, surely that shouldn't be too hard.

I love these reviews, if only for the jokes in them.  They make me laugh, and I have to imagine that's why a lot of people read these recaps.  I have probably only watched 30% of the episodes of the show at this point, but have read all the Av Club recaps because when they aren't discussing the existential crisis that

Ha, you do make a point…

TWIST!

Can we get a newswire about the new Game of Thrones chapter so we can discuss it?

I feel for you, but I imagine it will only be a few days before "How To Make A Sweatshirt Business In America" is rushed into TV Club Classic due to commenter outcry.

How to make it in America, step 1:  don't be a shitty HBO show.

Your headline spelled "TENACIOUS D SET CAUSES EARTHQUAKES SO POWERFUL THEY CONTINUED THROUGHOUT FOO FIGHTERS PERFORMANCE" wrong.

This book was pretty meh.  Involved a lot of shark tank action, a lot of really cliche mobster action, and an absolutely disgusting finale.  Plus, the writing style was just strange.  Very "I'm writing the sentences in a novel and talking to you, reader.  Can you believe it!?"

The West End Theater is going to be out of business unless they make an effort to offer either the same shows E Street or a reason to see the past-their-initial-runs features they have.  For example right now they are playing "Drive", and earlier this year they had the Social Network a few months later.  I'm not

Yeah but the screens and seats at E Street are abysmal.  They do have one decently sized theater though.  I do love how they force some employee to awkwardly give a speech before each movie now.

To be clear:  it is easily one of the strangest music cues I have ever heard.

The use of "Fade Into You" during the Casper Van Dien/Patrick Muldoon catfight in "Starship Troopers" still takes my breath away.

I wish you spent some time discussing what won me over on MacGruber:  Forte's strange monologue about why the villain hates him.  It's precisely the kind of inspired joke that makes a subtle spoof of an 80s genre:  what if in the back story we learned that the villain was totally justified in wanting the "hero" dead?

There's also a poster for "Zodiac" in the opening credits.

"Vampire Business"
How ridiculous is Sookie's hesitancy to explain her absence honestly? It's not only another example of how (aptly put) this show has terrible internal logic, but it's just completely absurd considering that every single character on this show is involved in something completely ridiculous. Hoyt is

Thanks!

Interesting Choice
Yet no write up of "Switched at Birth"??? I caved after seeing the previews for several months during every ABC Family Harry Potter Weekend (also known at ABC Family as "the weekend"). It's actually not terrible. Pilot had one laugh-out-loud moment. You could get a ton of mileage out of a write

Terrific Shot, Part 2
Thanks for pointing out the shot of Tony coming back into the house and his whole family is just standing there, waiting for him. It's one of the series absolute best moments: the way it goes from Tony and Meadow arguing, to Tony outside, to the reveal of the mother's death, to Meadow's
