It's really annoying…
…that one of (if not the) greatest Super Bowls of all time, albeit not exactly the hardest-earned title there is, has been superseded by America flipping out by a quarter-second of a boob. Sometimes I hate this country.

Bale was also the weak point in the movie for me, but for a different reason. His Purvis was basically a blank slate - kinda like Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive, only several degrees less interesting.

Frost/Nixon is a very good film, almost certainly Howard's best. You can give Howard a lot of stick for not having any discernable directorial style, which makes stuff like A Beautiful Mind more workmanlike than anything else, but it works beautifully for Frost/Nixon, since your focus is entirely on the main
