I finally saw Dredd (with Korean subtitles no less) and it was a lot better than I had expected from the impression given by the ad campaign and reviewers other than Mike Stoklasa. I don't understand why it got a D- here; I guess arthouse pretension is the standard of excellence at the AV Club.
