Absolutely, if you know how to shoot HD; there's no reason for all those near-monochromatic dark, dirty handheld shots - it should be colorful and clean and bright in a technicolor way. You can do that in HD, obviously, but these people don't know how, unless they were aiming for that look.

For some reason, everything conflicts on Thursday nights for me. I have "Wayward Pines" on FOX - a much better show, in my opinion, and then "Hannibal" right after "Aquarius" and these shows never end on time so I miss a minute or two in the transition.

There was a bit in the episode with the male cop ridiculing the female cop and it just felt so forced, and so wrong, and unnecessary. This is one of those "hit-you-over-the-head" moments that spell out - T-h-e-s-e-w-e-r-e-d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t-t-i-m-e-s!

On a couple of occasions, there is some awkward dialogue replacement, which leads me to believe the show was originally intended for a network like TBS, A&E, or FX, which allow certain profanities. I laughed when I heard the word "crap" inserted in a very haphazard, cringe-inducing way. Duchovny says "bull" and then

I was thinking about this today and I think the big problem with the show (right now) is the look of it - shot on digital and HD - if you look at a lot of other stuff shot in that period (late 60s), it's film and there are certain film types that can achieve a nice, crisp technicolor look. A lot of the clothing and

I think it was Duchovny's partner who had the black wife and child. He wanted Duchovny to know why he wasn't a racist. "See, I'm a progressive sort-of fellow because I married a black woman. Get it! GET IT!" The racism as depicted in the show is very (if you'll forgive me) black and white. I will give it another

I don't know. It seemed to be Manson was raping that lawyer in the parking lot.

He did. He studied Scientology in prison and claimed to be an O.T. 8 (Operating Thetan) or something like that.

My mother was of that age in those days (young, impressionable) and she told me she hung out with some hippies but she got tired of the scene because all they were interested in was sex and getting high, and a lot of them weren't terribly political.

I seriously had high hopes for this show, but I'm not liking it so far. It's everything I thought it would be - in the worst possible way. I knew I was going to have to hear a K-Tel Sounds of the Sixties 2-record set worth of the same, overplayed music on the soundtrack, and I knew it would be dancing hippies

I agree. You'd think they would've wiped his user account if this was such a big deal. You'd also think a secret service agent would be more receptive to authority figures and/or they would be prepared for his curiousity. Otherwise, I"m loving this show.

What I don't understand is why Ethan's wife is so submissive yet so wildly jealous. Even Ben knows Ethan screwed around (which is weird). They have strange priorities considering all the weird stuff going on.

Colour? What, is she purple?

I was with you up until you said she's earned it (her money). Most (if not all) celebrities have not earned their money. They tend not to do honest work. This is the myth that keeps sending kids to dream factories like New York or Los Angeles thinking they possess enough talent to parade themselves in front of

Very sorry to hear this. I remember when we got our first VCR and I rented "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" constantly and I had her whole Alamo monologue memorized. I love the way she said, "Thank you", with that big, wide smile on her face.

It's not that, believe me. It's simply that looking over comments for "Family Guy" for a few years, I think people simply want to hate the show for no other reason than they need something to hate. I don't hate the show. I think the quality has dropped off much in the same way it has for "The Simpsons", but the

I'm not up on my maths, but I think it has something to do with HB quotient. HB being short for Humorless Boob.

And yet…people still watch, don't they?

Yeah, but you still watched the whole thing, didn't you?

Perhaps he developed a sense of perspective in his old age. As we all (comment boards excluded) usually do.
