Shut up baby, I know it!

This latest season I don't think I laughed as much - just kinda stared at the screen waiting for the funny like the last 4 episodes of Louie (sorry).  I was like, "what the fuck is this?  Make me laugh, bitch!" and then…nothing.  Crickets.

Small shoes, small feet…

In a gumbo fit only for a madman…

I have the whole show and I watch it constantly, so I don't need to catch the marathons anymore, especially since they cut the bejeesus out of it.

Too long; could have been cut down by a half-hour.

The Hunt is one of my favorites.  Particularly the idea that he can take his dog to Heaven with him and have plenty of hunting - isn't that nice?

The three in the shelter are dipshit authority figures and Radin is a self-made man (with that kind of a chip on his shoulder, he would have to be) who emerged wealthy in the material sense thus he aims to smack these people down, but does not recognize that they are as soulless as he, therefore just as brutal,

The AV Club writers often seem perplexed at the success of certain artists and are constantly appalled when they disagree with a particular subgenre's popular consensus, so this latest campaign doesn't surprise me.  There is also that a filmmaker's product is not necessarily a political or religious platform.  Most

"A Game of Pool" - the bomb, the classic!

Hellllllooooo!

Voyager was not a terrible show…simply the wrong time for another Star Trek incarnation.  We didn't need it then, but by God we need it fucking now.

I have that record - either a gift or I was high since I don't remember buying it.  It's a compilation so it doesn't matter.

"It’s the foremost pop-culture achievement of the 20th century, and the greatest television show of all time."

I wonder if the content of the movie - the script - might've had an impact on her religious beliefs at the time.  The script would have been making the rounds for a while before it was filmed.

From what I understand, she got Cruise into Scientology and then backed out (probably around the time of the movie) and that's when they separated.

I actually found the AV through the Onion - when I got bored with the premise, this whole "Scientists Find Suicide Is Bad For You" type shit, and then AV had serious criticism/review, but then they're sort-of turning themselves into tastemakers nowadays where everything pre-Flaming Lips sucks ass and the rest of us

Great write-up, I'll miss this column.  When I was 14, I was given a copy of Peary's Guide for the Film Fanatic.  That and Ebert's book, served as the basis for my long love affair with movies.

Me too, just to see what broccoli, cauliflower, and kale all taste like together.  Probably OD on vitamin K or something.  Maybe an experimental AV Club Taste Test article?

It's in another episode but I love when Woody tells Diane his mother's greatest dream was to be a drummer in a power trio, and how she would stare at the Ludwigs in the music store window.
