Really one of my favorites. I'd hate to see this re-made. They might have the pathos down, but it would not be rated R with all the nudity.

What about Cronenberg's "Fly", 1986? One of the great abortion scenes - admittedly Geena Davis' nightmare (every woman's nightmare), but so effectively photographed and acted. If a good portion of the film is analogy; a metaphor for AIDS, then it is also a movie that makes an excellent case for abortion and a…

The "memoirs" I've read are anecdotal, little slices of life running some 200 pages - at 635 pages this is an enormous chunk of a life.

The book rambles like Pynchon that's been cut down severely, but I will admit the man has a gift and at least he keeps my interest.

Blade Runner is my favorite movie of all time and I have several versions of it on DVD - as well as VHS, and since I got a blu ray player for Christmas last year, I am definitely going to get this.

You funny, but my point is the legend/legacy of (work of fiction) Atlas Shrugged seems to be the only thing liberal jack-asses won't stop flapping their gums about. In my conversations with those pseuds, they admit to never having read the book - not even freaking Cliff's Notes! The book isn't exactly Mein Kampf or…

I'm not a supporter of whatever ignorant philosophy seems to have grown up around the book, though I do sense the intention was not nearly as cold, callous, money-loving, money-grubbing as most "he who is without sin" liberals seem to ascribe. I have a solution, though. Not only do we recall every pressing of the…

Typical liberal. Can't you just (pass gas) like everybody else?

Clearly satire seems a lost concept in these threads. I suppose you think Jonathan Swift ate the children of poor families.
