If he were to write about what I personally understand, he could write about anything under the sun, as I've obviously spent considerably more time in my (more or less wasted) life listening to music, watching movies, reading books and generally absorbing the pop culture than he has.

Yes, that's what was I trying to relate; some people refuse to understand, and then they're baffled as to the success of a movie despite how unpopular it might be in certain circles.

Right, remember how I said it wasn't a great movie?  My opinion of it was vastly improved after I simply ignored everybody's else's bullshit and just watched the thing on my own terms.  It's not fucking "Plan 9 From Outer Space" or "John Carter"; it's just a vampire movie made for fans of the books, right?  Those

Song Reader isn’t really an album, per se, so much as a collection of 20 different songs that exist only as individual pieces of sheet music.

Wow.  A show I've barely heard of and they want $650,000 per episode each?

I'm gojng to say the first Twilight movie.  I had such misgivings based on the bad press and then I watched it.  Not terrible.  Not great but certainly not as bad as what I expected.  Same for Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Paul; those movies were a lot better than what I was expecting.

The thing of it is…if I or one other person on the planet loves the song (I do, by the way…awesome riff, suggestive lyrics, tightly-constructed pop song from 1975 that still sounds fresh) JW is automatically full-of-shit, a smelly poser, and indie doofus.  I wouldn't begin such a haphazard, ludicrous new feature such

Well for starters - anything AV Club writes about Weezer, Family Guy, the movies of M. Night, Mike Meyers, Disney executives…

"Room Service" is by no means a bad song.  It's a minor song, would not get much live play, just filler.  The article operates on a bias - JW admits he's not much of a Kiss fan, so what's the point of hearing the opinion of somebody who doesn't care either way (doesn't really seem so much like hate as indifference) -
