@Jimmy - Well, I put Data with Sayid because Sayid gets things done. He's usually the go-to guy for all tech stuff they need to do, plus I get the feeling Data could torture people without mercy. Notice I couldn't find a character for useless Kate? Although Troi comes to mind…

There are at least three significant examples of "conduct unbecoming…" that could be compared with Picard (and his friends) behavior in this episode.

I'll throw in-

How come Peter has to bounce at the gates of Heaven? Seems like a rather shit job to me, having to go through all those names.

"Picard playing dom-jot!"

"Picard playing dom-jot!"

Well…these days with interest rates and credit ratings the way they are…

However much Riker bitches him out about his career choices, Starfleet NEEDS boring people with boring jobs. They can't all be a bunch of ambitious explorers, right?

How dare he! and scene…

I recently watched "Q2" from season 7 of Voyager. His son in the episode was played by his real life son and it is amazing how he mimics John Delancie. Children do indeed pick up the mannerisms of their parents. The kid was brilliant.

Overgrown children…
I agree with Handlen in that a life does not boil down to a specific incident in the past. I've always viewed life as a summation of incidents, decisions, and hard choices and those are what make up the "tapestry", but the analogy ends because the unraveling effect would not necessarily cause the

It would have been awesome if Picard, Riker et al didn't even notice Troi's absence on the ship until they saw her decked out as a Romulan on the viewscreen. Riker does a double-take and says, "Dip! What's she doing over there? Computer, locate Counselor Troi." "Counselor Troi is not on the Enterprise." Picard

Performances…"Acquiel", "Face of the Enemy"
Both episodes share a rather unusual distinction. Since the shaky middle-half of the series (season one) and up until "Acquiel", the acting/performances had been competent and even praise-worthy. It is at the mid-point of season six that the acting gets…well crazy.

Actually I felt that Chakotay was over-protective of Janeway in a strangely inappropriate way; he didn't hide his feelings for her and he was always trying to keep her safe. I know that's the duty of a first officer, but his motivation was different than say Spock or Riker.

@Mrs Peel @Buckaroo - I must admit I confess to being confused. You both claim to have seen every Voyager episode and thus attest to the lack of comparative quality. When I watch a TV show and I am not impressed, if I am bored, if I don't like what I'm seeing I turn it off. I don't watch it anymore. Yet you've

I agree in principle, but Troi did have a point considering the crew was used to old Picard (bald head, scowl, roughly assexual, cranky bitch) and then have to take orders from youthful (hairy, innocent) Picard only slightly shorter. Hell, I'd be weirded out. I would be trying to make time with Troi's dinners -

@Highly Illogical - Come on! Read the review and then tell me Zack's not on asome kind of chemical stimulant. Agree with me or drink tranya 'til your dying day.

Have to call bullshit on the grading…
Obviously Zack has not only choked down the Kool-Aid, but supplemented it with psychosis-inducing Four Loko to even starting the reviews in semi-apologetic fashion and using non-committal phrasing like "This isn't the worst episode, but…" and then a B-minus grade? He might be

Who the fuck drinks it for the taste?
