I get your point, but people have free will and can choose not to play for free. No on is forcing these people to play for free. Hell, I know more than a few bands that play for free in local clubs just to get their names out there. They know what they're getting into.

It's easy to get faux outraged about this kind of stuff, but the fact is, any musician who gets up on stage with her knows what he or she is getting into and can make their own decisions.

I don't see the big deal here. It's a good chance for some local musicians to get some exposure.
