This season started off pretty strong, but then dropped off.  The current ratings (as of a couple of weeks ago, I think) have been the lowest ever for the show.  So it's up in the air whether or not it'll come back at this point, I think.

Excellent point about Chehon and musicality.  Unlike you, I'm still in awe over Chehon's tricks, but I think you're absolutely right.  Last night was the first time I saw anything approaching personality from him— i was really surprised he wasn't in the bottom.  And I agree that Will didn't deserve to go home :(

I think you're giving too little credit to the judges and the behind-the-scenes editing process.  I think that, initially, Cyrus was given waaaaay more than his fair share of screen time because he had a great story coupled with a magnetic personality.  And both of those things are still there, don't get me wrong.  I…
