The Comics Journal has a HUGE interview up. Pretty recent too.

I forgot the pinch of 'written by someone who gives a damn about the genre.' That makes all the difference.

Also the whole 'being really influential' aspect. And maybe a bit of 'it was novel at the time' with a dash of 'looks much more like a normal superhero book.'

Invisible Monsters was his first book and it's pretty terrible.

I think there are way more than 25 really good Pixies so your theory is fucked.

You don't think GBV/Pollard's albums aren't forever compared to the 'classic' period? Sonic Youth isn't compared against their SST days? He's talking about an OVERALL trajectory dude.

I'd be fine with an episode that doesn't seem like a season premiere cause the first season finale certainly didn't feel like one.

That's season 3.

Sunny's always been a bit inconsistent imo. To be fair: almost every episode has at least a few really well constructed bits or asides that make me laugh, so in that regards it is consistent. It's only when contrasted with those really amazing episodes where every plot-line is fantastic and it all dovetails together

DeNiro has no range? Ridiculous. Mad Dog and Glory, Brazil, and Godfather 2… There's no range displayed in those three flicks?

A good amount of comedy films that are remembered fondly did not do well at the box office. Probably half, at least.

Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas co-hosted around the time Strange Brew came out.

I just finished rewatching it and it made me laugh more often than (almost) all of season four and most of season five.

I dunno about most pretentious ever, but they are the most overrated rock bands of the time.

Michael Anthony isn't that bad on bass… but VH songs are written around Eddie and Alex playing off of each other. They never gave him any room to do anything but hold it together.

I love that he plays there semi-frequently.

It was Bullhorn I say!

It was Bullhorn, not Black Dynamite.

I think Bullhorn steals the film hands down but then again I think the Human Tornado is one of the best five films ever made.

When viewed on this interview page it's clear that the woman is very attractive and that the tiny arm making contact with her is real flesh and blood but dear me it looks all sorts of hellish on the main page.
