I (heart) Joe Mathlete.

Ditto. I didn't much like Roan Inish.

In Bruges is great and Colin Farrell is great in it.

I love that Far Side cartoon.

The Unnamed was a great book. Thanks for the review. I might never have heard of it were it not for the A.V. Club.

I loved Cairo, Nest of Spies. I even made up a drinking game for it, although I've never played a drinking game. Now, if only I could find that piece of paper. Anyway, I am all over the sequel. I can't wait!

Add me to the list of Magnolia haters. Ugh. I'll never get those hours back.

I'd recommend giving it a chance even if you're anti-Skeet Ulrich. I thought he was good.

I love Ride With the Devil. I remember when it came out, I thought it looked terrible. Later, a friend recommended it to me and I said, "You're kidding." He wasn't, and went on to tell me what a complex and wonderful film it is. I decided to check it out and was glad I did. It will surprise you.

This really pisses me off. It's bad business.

I love Dreamchild. Any Alice fan should see it. Ian Holm is wonderful. It's a great film.

I didn't mind the love story, but I agree, it wasn't essential to the story and the other aspects of the film are far more worthwhile.

I hated the 1974 Gatsby was pretty bad, but I thought Sam Waterston was absolutely marvelous as Nick.

On the same subejct, I recommend the movie Dreamchild, starring Ian Holm, who is absolutely wonderful. Jim Henson's Creature Shop provided the Wonderland characters.

Yep. Throughout the entire movie, I kept thinking, she's a narcissistic flake, why on earth would he try so hard to be with her? That speech made me want to punch her. But she is definitely pure evil in My Best Friend's Wedding. Complete asshole.

I agree! I also think she's an asshole in Notting Hill and didn't deserve him at all and his friends gave him terrible advice when they told him he'd blown it.

I think it's quite good. I have the movie poster in my room.

YES! B. Monkey is one of my favorite movies! Reading this piece, I kept thinking, "No love for B. Monkey?" I'm glad to know I'm not alone. Also, I actually think Asia is great in it. Very natural.

I LOVE The Awful Truth!

I like her, but she sounds a LOT like Black Box Recorder.
