Re: the $40,000 bribe to the MTA official. In an interview on NPR this morning, Friedkin said the guy wanted $40K AND a one-way plane ticket to Jamaica because he was sure he would be fired if they ever found out he let them film on the train tracks. Great story.
I'm really happy to see someone else mention this movie. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember thinking that it could have been better. But Richard Pryor, James Earl Jones and Billy Dee Williams in one movie together? Fun times.
