I agree that the show would be more effective not telegraphing its punches.

Agreed that the BBC stuff is much better. I'm just waiting for the time when Fox will actually split the elimitation with two commercial breaks…

I'm worried.
Though I'm glad this is getting a season 2 to try to work out some of the kinks (frankly, I'm just glad the only science fiction show on television right now is going to stay on telivision), I'm worried that I may lose my beloved AV commentary on the show.

There was some mention that this is just an alien garrison force. They did say in the pilot that the militaries of the world were targeted first and utterly destroyed. I've been assuming that whatever forces were involved in the initial invasion force brought some siginificantly more serious firepower. Once the

I'll echo the comments that B5 TV Club Classic would be well worth it. Seasons 1-4 still hold up much better than one would expect. Season 5 would provide ample entertainment to all those (myself included) who enjoy the reviews of terrible episodes as much as those of good ones.

Poor writing all around. Considering how little is known about the enemy, I'd think everyone would recognize the potential advantage of interrogating the prisoner. To want to kill it after 20 minutes because it didn't stand on its hind legs and start speaking the king's english is nonsensical. It's not the worst

Also, sorry for all the, unnecessary, comma usage, above. Thank, you.

I don't have much to say here, but I feel I should be commenting on this as a show of support for the coverage.

You should register and "follow" the show. New feature is pretty cool. Thanks also for asking the question.

Doug is a great character that has been poorly used. There's a way for the show to do right with this character, but for the past several years it has missed the mark. I say keep the character and please review this show week-to-week.

In regards to your point on history professors, I found this to be a cool callback to professor-turned-soldier Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain of the 20th Maine. Unfortunately, we haven't really had any payoff here (i.e. understanding of military strategy allows for novel adaptation of tactics to present circumstances).

This is the first week I've watched in real time (tivoed last weeks dual ep, so I didn't really have to worry about commercials), and I noticed this also. It seems the breaks really stopped any building suspense/momentum.

Yeah, I think they're working towards "humanizing" the skitters (though I hope not in some of the litteral ways suggested by the harness theories above). Right now, I share the curiousity about what makes these things tick. The wounded and dying skitters have seemed, well, like beings with complex emotions would be

This is a great idea!

I know what to think, but don't know if I'll get back to you.

I would buy an album of Gates McFadden's renditions of all our favorite Beakfast song classics.

Of course I don't. What do I look like - the holodeck?

Why keep the Holodeck?
I thought we settled this. You keep the Holodeck because it has the amazing ability to know *exactly* what kind of table you're talking about.

*Spoiler?

This confused me as well…
