Late to the party here, I am really conflicted on this issue.  My sons both play, my 15 year old is starting DE on his sophomore team and LOVES LOVES LOVES it. Avocados are fantastic and considered a "super" food. Cut it open, lime, kosher salt, ground pepper, you're good to go in like 15 seconds.
