I'd say you're doing great…. keep up the good food choices.  Gets increasingly important as you get older!

1. Quit smoking - it's been 9 hours and I'm doing ok
2. Stop calling my separated wife when I'm depressed, and let her go - It's been 3 days, so I'm doing ok there
3. Get in the best physical shape of my adult life - I'm in pretty good shape now, was way too hungover yesterday to start, hitting the gym at 6PM. I think I

I attended my brother-hosted small NYE gathering,   I get this text from him yesterday:

In the March is better camp.  I feel like once I make it to March, I know it will get better "within a matter of weeks".

I would hope I'd be smart enough to switch over to the less-debilitating. What I fear is that booze has been such an (unfortunately?*) integral part of 75% (maybe 95%?) of my socializing since I was 16 or so, could I give it up?

I respectfully disagree. Trailers for comedies make me not wince 1-2% of the time, and I think this will be at the very least a passable catch on cable comedy.

I agree, but can see how he got here. He was dangerously close to oblivion, or at least just earning a middle class living, around 2006ish?  Now he can afford to be picky and should be.

I love Charlie Day and Always Sunny, with one exception, the Sienfeldian yelling thing.  When there is a shit-ton of yelling in an episode, it really grates on me.
