@secret - you'll probably think I'm neglectful here, but in addition to Ruby the Great Dane, we also have Emily the Cat. Emily has been to the vet once in 9 years, when we first got her.  She's never been outside of our house and is perfectly healthy.  I agree with pet healthcare, but really how much at risk is a

We 'bought" a great dane 4.5 years ago, super sweet dog. My wife always wanted one, and we have the money and space. While we do not regret getting her, we both agreed that it was the wrong thing to do.  Next dog (like our previous dogs) will be adopted, and most likely a mutt.

Our lab-great dane (just an anstonishingly cool dog  - Nero) died when my daughter was about 5, son 2, and we were planning on a third kid.  Because of the baby hubub, we waited a while to get another dog, then finally did 4.5 years ago. I cannot imagine the family without the dog now, and the kids and wife just adore

When delivering pizza in college (Papa Del's, Champaign, IL.  I can taste it now) I'd stop at my girlfriend's dorm room on Thursday nights for a great new show called "The Simpsons".  I married that girl.

The way Nate "evolved" is really something to take in.  On the one hand, a sad-but-true almost cliched "maturation process": doing the co-op and banging whoever seems so glamorous. Then at some imperceptable point it isn't, and he realizes it, but is frustrated by that in a "why me" kind of way.
