I watched it last night, I can agree with Brett B more or less, but I would still recommend watching this.  I think the last 20 mins. or so falls apart, but for a movie made with virtually no-name actors, no budget, etc., I found this far more entertaining than say MI:4: Ghostface Killa Tom Cruise Sucks

The Runaways, FTW

@avclub-e57dbebc740250d2c4a370cf6ccb35f0:disqus  - I actually asked my wife to stop reading it during pregnancy #1.  She basically would read 5-10 pages, get freaked by some horrible-yet-very-remote possibility, then not be able to sleep

papoon for president - you are an asshole.

Anime fandom maybe be the biggest douchebag red flag of them all.

And I was all set to see them Lolla '10 when they cancelled.

That show - Lolla 94 in Chicago - man they were unbelievable.  I was only a casual fan - that turned it for me.

Tropic Thunder had some moments, but does not touch Borat or Bruno

Bruno was "hilarious". I think you've messed up your H words.  Seriously, it's fucking fall out of bed funny, as I know as I almost did, as did my wife, and we're a very tough audience, esp. for comedy.

THere is no need to apologize for Bruno.  It is great, at points better than Borat, and I don't understand how this is not very, very well understood.

My buddy is an editor at one of the big textbook houses. Holy shit the nonsense and political bullshit coming out of Texas is truly frightening. They are usurping the political process to essentially rewrite history and science. We're fucked.

Scrawler, EBuzz, totally get your points. Minor point - I think he's going after all religious people, not just christians.  and he may be an asshole, he certainly is sometimes.

I'm going to start sounding like a Maher apologist around here, but I think kid's vaccinations are TOTALLY DIFFERENT from flu shots…

Gentle - that sounds like total bullshit. Miller was right there, at the WTC, and that instantly turned him into an unfunny ass head?

Scrawler and E Buzz - you guys are are gods around here for the right reasons, but I think you're missing a subtlety here about Maher.

I cant remember who #3 was, but Sean Penn and Gary Shandling were the best one I've seen.  Penn would get uber serious and then Shandling would break in with something hilarious, and Penn would totally lose it.  Shandling has been hit/miss since, but he was on that night.

The pre-solo bits on "Fool In The Rain"  = my favorite Bonzo moment.  The guy had so much expression; how often are drum parts truly memorable? and this was essentially at the end of Zep.  amazing cat,

Yeah the Moonlighting line was tops for me.

I worked one shift - one - in a factory. I stood in front of a large machine that shat out plactic fans (just the plactic fan blade part).  My job was to let it cool one minute, snip the little pieces of extra plastic off of it, place it in a box, repeat, try not to kill self.

well, me for one
