Anyone else enjoy the Green Acres reference when team names are being called? Haney & Drucker. Odd little addition.

I'm a college educated man in his 30s and I've never heard the word 'bathos' before. Is that strange? Do people ever use it?
I always enjoy Michael's candy bar bit in the classroom. It's completely ridiculous but also sort of clever and it would have to take a strange person like Michael to think that a little wordplay like that would have an affect on anyone. Satisfied?
I was confused on this as well. 4 years off on the date of the movie seemed really odd.
Same here. Always makes me think that there were a million different ways Michael and Dwight role played that interaction. I could have watched an episode full of that.
A line from a trifle song does not a catalog make.
For the Millenials who hate Gump as a Boomer pat on the back, can we at least all agree that the person that wrote this is a moron?
Frasier Crane spends a good part of an episode of Frasier trying to watch How Green Was My Valley. If it's good enough for Frasier Crane, it's good enough for the Oscars 50 years prior.
I'll admit upfront that I don't see a lot of movies. I wanted to provide some argument against Pulp Fiction and for Forrest Gump since most seem to be squarely on the Pulp Fiction side of history
I feel the show is consistently mediocre in the later seasons, but still can provide moments of emotional resonance better than just about any other sitcom I've ever seen. I think Roswulf's advice of watching until you no longer enjoy it is good because I could see the tipping point for a lot of viewers where the…
This made me laugh way harder than I would like to admit. Danny running in the park holding the imaginary baby just kills me.
I'm meee????
Nick Miller got several belly laughs from me tonight. The line about his ex-girlfriend quoting scripture but with cursing was great. Not usually a big fan of farce (Frasier being the exception), but I think this is the most laughs I've gotten from the show this season.
Are you the creator of Hi & Lois because you are making me laugh
I've never heard it put this way. I think it's an amazing observation
Though I spelled diddily wrong in the above comment, Flanders definitely does not say dOOdilly the second time. It's really time to take off your 'genius at work' shirt, idiotking.
Perhaps they've cut it out of syndication, but after Flanders says 'no siree bob', Bart is definitely shown sitting on the floor rocking his arms back and forth, smiling about the the violence in the cartoon. I'm not referring to Todd shaking in terror.
Do college freshman know the Simpsons? I'm curious if they've discovered golden age Simpsons or if the mediocre version they may have watched in their formative years is something they quickly discarded for better television.
Agreed. It cracks me up every time. As does Bart rocking while sitting on the floor because the Itchy and Scratchy cartoon has gotten him so wound up.
Interesting thoughts. I think I'm the opposite with it. The more time passes, the more I think this one is in my Top 10 episodes. The whole time the kids live at the Flanders is great with so many amazing lines. I really consider this episode an absolute joke machine and then they wrap it up with a nice poignant…
