Thanks Steven
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on "Be Here Now." That was a biggie for me as a kid, though looking at it now I sure don't remember why.

Two that jump to mind:
"Love U" on Blitzen Trapper's "Furr"

This is the first episode I watched since the pilot …
… so maybe I'm not qualified to comment. But. This episode seemed really low-budget to me. A lot of sitting around and talking. Close ups on intense people making intense constipated-and-pushing faces.

I'll watch for Sean Bean
Criminally underrated.

Wait, carnies are interesting?
Maybe we could make a show about them? Like, in the dust bowl. With beautiful cinematography and landscapes. HBO could have it and then NOT cancel it.

Clambake, no, nobody else noticed that.

Steven, please don't ever stop writing this series.
Ever.

I love Brian Cox
That is all.

NPR First Listen has (had?) it as well.

I thought it was good, bouncy pop for the most part.
Especially the opening track. The Jones and Mulligan tracks are good. "I Want the World to Stop" is awesome. Great retro '60s feel, from before "pop" was a dirty word.

Middle-aged pop stars are like vampires. They need to feed upon the blood of fresh new stars and hot new fads to stay young.
What about middle-aged pop culture critics? What do they feed on?

Jim, "Almost Live" was the best. Still miss "Mind Your Manners with Billy Kwan."

Old things are better cuz they're old.

Cranky, bitter old man is …
… cranky, bitter, and old. Also, a man.

On closer reading, see it's posited as a hypothetical.

… and stridently assert that Superunkown is twice the album The Suburbs or Neon Bible will ever be
I was a teen in Seattle in the '90s and that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

It's Johnson's.

Everyone knows Poe died in 1849.
What this movie supposes is: What if he didn't?

Another vote for "Jolene." Name checks Spokane, gotta love that.

Wow
The movie was so bad, hard to see how they could do three others. But glad for my nephews' sake that the new series is going forward. They greatly enjoy the source material.
