Is the "sigh" cautiously optimistic?
When does "Love Guru 4" come out?

Only sell our work as full albums!
Jesus, how out of touch can you get? Pink Floyd's pretentiousness has always been annoying, and them thinking they're the only ones who should be excluded from ala carte music shopping is just the latest instance of it.

Who the fuck is Michelangelo listening to?
All of the bands have animals in their names now. That's a pretty stupid rule if it means you miss out on Fleet Foxes/Animal Collective/Grizzly Bear/Band of Horses/etc.

Recent Addition/Notable Omission
Iron & Wine's Around the Well would be a good addition to this list.

Refreshingly lowbrow
Kudos, AV Club.

Actually, as I go back through the past couple weeks of book reviews, Todd's seem alright.

The whole review was pretty snarky for my taste, but what do I know?

"Ostensibly, his son's birth prompted him to investigate the source of his food…"
Is there some reason I'm missing to doubt that assertion?

Survivor
If you remember how huge Survivor was when it came out and consider that it's really the forerunner of the rest of these, it's hard to see how it could not be number one.

Epic performance by Wolfman. Well played.

Fahrenheit 9/11
was on the tube the first time my wife and I made out.

Charlize Theron would have to be an MRF to sign on to this project.
Obligatory Arrested Development reference over. Carry on.

I guess it's a question of homage versus imitation. I never drank the Raimi kool-aid in the first place, so maybe that's my problem.

Have to admit …
… always thought I'd see Darkman in "My Year of Flops" or "I Watched This on Purpose" before I saw it in "The New Cult Canon."

This review almost put me off seeing this in the theater,
but then the NYT and the New Yorker were much more generous with their assessments.

Utility Player?
Is that a fair description of Bennett's contribution to the band?

Good god, Lady of Rage
Haven't heard that name in fucking decades. And Danny Boy? Like, the guy from House of Pain?

"Where to start…?"
Maybe start with the crappy novels and stories and then work your way to the god-awful fucking horrible stories and novels. Just a suggestion though.

Agreed. Luckily, the box set just came out. Must fucking have.

Concur. McRaney (sp.?) was awesome as Hearst. As to whether or not he should have appeared in the first place, I shall have to ponder awhile still. Hadn't ever thought of it before.
