I actually played the Grease megamix after Jock Jams. It certainly got radio play where I live on our top 40 station.

@avclub-9acf7344ec50993b012999f76196c4c6:disqus that must be kin to black people knowing the Electric Slide. My Zumba class finshed with the slide, and my instructor got off beat. I went to black weddings in the 80s- I'll always know how to do the rock and turn.

We didn't square dance, we folk danced, and it introduced me to the concept of world music. There was even a folk-dance exhibition that I was in at least a couple of years. My sister and I hung in until middle school, with the 3 other kids that were uber-nerds. We ended up not being able to go to competition that last

I guess I don't *have* to sneak them in- I'm just out of room as it is, book-wise, and I still have books that I've brought from years past and never read, for whatever reason. Added to my pathological fear of being a hoarder (that doesn't stop me from keeping all books I read) so it's always a dilemma for me. And

The part I'm really looking forward to (in a horrible way) is the whole Northern Calloway saga. I have nieces and we have a few random Sesame Street DVDs for them. I have Old School, with David being full of wit (there's a song that's in the style of the Whispers, complete with all the dudes in matching blue tuxes) to

Not to mention, Larson had already played past regulation, and I can imagine many producers gathering next to the board, giving him the death stare.
I don't know if I think it was fair or unfair, what he did. I mostly baffle at the idea of studying PYL hard enough to notice patterns in the game board. I didn't study

I saw a clip on You Tube recently where on Pyramid, a 7-11 was called, Dick knew it, the sound went off… and there was no 7-11 on the board. Dick actually went to the board and knocked on the window, and the stagehand behind and him cracked wise about it. That's old school for real.
I watched both Donnie's and the

Bumper Stumpers came on USA Network when I was a kid. I use those skills I learned then to translate the kids' texts. Get off my lawn!

This is so me. I totally plan to go on TPIR, but I'm desperately hoping not to get Cliffhangers, because I would totally throw the game (and if you lose your game, you get the shit first spin in the Showcase Showdown! I've said too much).

Game show nerd alert: Back in the day, most of the prizes were donated or provided at reduced cost, like you stated, for advertising. Over the years, fewer companies have decided to do that. Now, if you pay attention to the announcer, you'll hear "Lemon Pledge, cleans all wooden surfaces to a shine and smells good!

Oh Sherrie is one of those songs that I always remember hearing, but never knowing the words, or who sang it. Pretty sure I was grown before I knew who Steve Perry was.

He's a prodigy!

I thought 'all he left us was a loan' meant that even the meager possessions he had belonged to someone else. I had visions of people swooping down on the poor family with its 5 sons (because they all took turns singing) and taking their crap back right after the funeral.

This weekend, because I live by the words 'day late, dollar short',I finally saw Jurassic Park 3D. We were late getting to the theatre (and had to talk the ticket girl into selling us tickets- we assured her that we'd seen it before) so by the time we got there, they were at the park. I felt that was perfect timing.

You at least caught Pride. My work schedule coincided with every Pride event we had locally, so I feel a little miffed about that.

Aw, Smallville! I loved that show with great hearts when it premiered. I still have a soft spot for the big dumb alien and the baldy that loves him. Plus, the Magnificent Bastard, what's not to love?

Wait, the Half-Price sale is this weekend? Yee-haw! Fairgrounds, here I come! Seriously, I've brought so many books there that I have to sneak them in, like a wife that can't show how many pairs of shoes she splurged on.

I love Half-Price. I went last week and picked up some a cookbook I'd been looking for (for a buck, even) and John Hodgman's book. I haven't started it yet but it's in line.

I was thinking about you when I heard this (that sounds so creepy, oh well)- I was going to see a play called "Zanna Don't" at a theatre here, but punked out. I'm glad I did- apparently some of the actors heard that there was only 3 reservations for the show in question and actually left. I literally was like WTF when

Stranger in a Strange Land is one of my all time favorite books. I admit that I haven't read a lot of Heinlein out that, and I hear that it's not really representative of his style, but I just reread it last month for the umpteenth time, and even knowing every twist and turn doesn't stop the sheer enjoyment I get from
