Because I'm a Disney nerd, I've been following the 24 hour thing. Two things that stuck out in all the reading- if you're planning to go to Cali Adventure, go during the day, parts will be closed for an already scheduled Grad Nite, and parking is going to be horrendous, so if you have alternate arrangements, use 'em!
Ha

I grabbed a mango when I went shopping Monday, but it's still hard as a rock. I am not good with delayed gratification!

I was on a glorious Rumchata kick this spring, which is why I probably weight about 20 pounds more than I did this winter. It's fantastic stuff.

There's a dude in here that looks like my dad circa '75, although he swears he never went on the show. We don't live all that far from Chicago…
it's weird thinking about it with the context of this song, however.

I managed to pretty much say this before seeing your comment! Must mean that Sarah Polley is indeed awesomesauce.

I just heart Sarah Polley.

We certainly have libraries, but I never think of other media from them- libraries are the land of books, and I don't usually stray. And no, not really a torrenter/downloader. I have a laptop that's on the older side, and not only am I out of space, I have to really like a movie to watch it more than once, and it

Or the reverse, where he clearly cannot dance but wants to get laid at some point. Soul Train was a regular event in my house (although I'm an 80's kid and therefore hit the curl era and not the afro era) and I still have much love for it. Love, peace and soul!

I know! I was worried when DS9 started that we had talked about it so much in the TNG days that we wouldn't even break two pages of comments. I've never been so happy to have been completely wrong.

What's funny is in the review, the point is brought up that sometimes smart children grow to resent their parents because they feel valued for their smarts. My own parents wanted children pretty badly, and my sister and I were as preplanned as you got in the late seventies/early eighties. I never thought my parents

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus my Trek reading collection is beyond 'out of hand' and well into 'don't you read anything else' land. When I like (obsess over) something, I read about it, a lot.
@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus I second the recommendation. I randomly bought my copy at a ST con, and it's long

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus I totally enjoyed the Reboot (still have 90% of the books, occasionally reread) but really, Bashir kinda gets shafted by them. I enjoyed so many of the characters, old and new, but he wasn't one of them, sadly. So it's a conditional recommendation.

This is me. I'm not a grammar witch but man, words must be spelled out! I will put 'lol' on things because I have no self-respect, but all sentences start with a capital and there is punctuation.

I don't know why that was my sticking point. I obviously never watched enough Voyager to even know that was a thing. (see other comments about how I deal with being annoyed, my default state.)

That sandwich! There was goat cheese and homemade pesto on a ciabatta. I thought I'd died and gone to beet heaven. Duos food truck, never leave me!

I think there are two things that bother me the most about the genetic enhancement of Bashir.
1. As pointed out, Bashir wasn't just a little behind his classmates. Not being able to identify different types of animals by six (my two-year-old niece can do that) and know the difference between a tree and a house? That's

Anthony Montgomery is from my hometown. He's a brotha, and on Star Trek. Any and all of these things would be reason enough to make ENT appointment watching in my house.
*insert hysterical laughter*
I've only watched two episodes of ENT. And I aim to keep it that way.

I love me some Kate Mulgrew. The hair, the voice! But Voyager did her no favors whatsoever acting wise. I'd try to watch an episode with my parents and always end up rolling my eyes and leaving when Janeway got to preaching.

The funny thing about this is, my mom loved her some Chakotay back in the day. Like, we used to tease her about her crush. Once I heard the term Chipotle, I went and told her about it, and she was like, 'yeah, I can see that'.
Chipotle, you disppointed my ma!

Right. Even when I read the DS9 Reboot series and in one of the early books, there's a plot contrivance where Julian's enhancement are gone. At some point, he talks about how his mental library is crumbling, which is what I would expect, (being cognizant of something wrong but not being able to fix it. Scary thought)
