Super late, I was a hardcore tomboy growing up, and I had my collection of 'figgers', not to be confused with the army of dolls that misguided relatives would buy for me. My dad got me this sweet fighter pilot with his own plane. Lil' PIM would've cut you for implying he was a 'doll'.
We actually went to a Turkish restaurant not that long ago. I was totally stuffed. I just transferred job locations to right across the street from this place, and forsee lots of return visits in the future.
(sorry for the late reply- this turned into hell week when I wasn't looking)
We meet monthly, and go to a different local restaurant, with our Fearless Leader scoping out the places first for authenticity and logistics. We usually get stuff that the owners only break out for family (not bragging- half the stuff we had…
I marathoned through the first 5 episodes when I was on an extended business trip. Hearing those opening notes takes me back to California, and not-quite homesickness. Still one of my favorite theme songs.
Last week, I went out to my International Supper Club's meet, and we had delicious Greek food. Dolmas, both veggie and non, sweetbreads (oh my goodness super good), smelt, and course after course came rolling out, with the occasional fire. Did I mention the cheese? Oh yeah. We ended with a dessert trio, and after I…
I think it's 'hangin' in a john'. Because peeps like to hang out in bathrooms.
TWoP is my Brokeback. It was my first big fannish thing, way back in the day (I had friends that still called it Mighty Big TV, but I didn't make those days) and even though there are large swaths of places I avoid there, including most of the recaps, I still remember the good times. And the magic.
Considering I'm probably going to do one of following if I get to ask a question- 1)cry 2)squeak or 3) laugh uncontrollably- I doubt my knowing the pronunciation is even going to come up. We had Nicole DeBoer last year and I couldn't even ask anything for fear of the aforementioned reactions, and she's like, 3rd tier…
Oddly enough, I can pronounce it decently, but I can't spell it, or any other multisyllablic word. I also didn't make it up, but got it from the fine folks at TWoP. (the ST people, super nice, don't mingle with the crazy, been there for years. If you gotta go there, stay in that section and you'll be fine.)
I was older when I read it, but yes. Still haven't seen either movie, though.
Appropriate to nothing being discussed here-
Who's getting to see Rene Alphabet and Armin Shimmerman at her local ST Con? This girl!
*does the happy dance*
I am fond of larger posteriors, and I cannot lie. You fellow brethren cannot deny, that when a female with a disproportionally small midsection and a sphere shaped object in your direction, you get SPRUNG.
I was on my way to work the other day, and heard this commercial. All I could think was "Well played, Bass, well played".
Seconding WKRP hard. Yes!
But it got so bad, so fast! We'd have seasons of yuck to get through. I think Omar G rocked it for TWoP. Be content with the memories, please.
Definitely Birdman. In my pants!
I love how the bad dude sees his future (SPOILER ALERT-he gets blown the f up) and turns the same way and surprise, gets blown the f up. This movie maddened me.
My first, all those years ago, and still one of my faves…
Nelly vs Lynard Skynard- Sweet Home Country Grammar by DJ Mei-Lwun

DJ Mei-Lwun is still one of my favorite mashup artists. I also love DJ Greg J- his 'the Mash Up- CD just bumps all the way through.
