One of my friends died a couple of months ago. Because he and I were friends from a long ago job, I didn't really know anyone in his circle. This. I use my facebook for friends/family I'm removed from by distance and/or circumstance. It's nice to 'see' people without having to feel all stalker like, and I've made friends with some and become closer with others.
