I've pretty much given up on classifying what I like to read, especially with YA and the like. Like @TashaRobinson:disqus , I was reading adult fiction along with the trashy teenage novels of our day (SVH for the win!) but not so much what would have been age appropriate.

If you've never read Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, or Pollyanna, the thoughts that fly out of those girls' mouth will crack you up as an adult. Seriously, I read 'em both as kid and adult, and getting *why* people are discomfited when something is sad just make them fly.

Like @avclub-8583cd7c50cc85d47a8db2dae972cd72:disqus , I was beyond the target audience, and although I never let a thing like age-appropriateness stop me from reading, say, the last Ramona Quimby book even though I was in high school or even out when it was released- but I gravitated to adult books pretty early and

A Wind in The Door. I read that one first, followed by Many Waters, then Planet and Wrinkle long after the others, and had discovered the Austins. I remember bursting into tears when I thought they'd X'd Meg. Also, all those 'classics' like Anne of Green Gables, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, Pollyanna, Little Women.

I saw both the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast rereleases in 3D and if I hadn't seen the originals in theatres, I wouldn't have guessed they weren't originally shot in 3D. I took my niece and mom to go see it, and I'd catch my niece trying to touch the leaves rolling across or my mom just digging it. So I give

So sad I know this, but Sesame Street Unpaved, the official behind the scenes book, gives his official name as "Fat Blue", which I love.

I still remember crying in the theatre when we saw this originally (in my defense, I was five) and now when I watch it, I still have a little pang in my heart for poor Big Bird.

Follow that Bird is something I've watched many times recently, thanks to my nieces' fascination with all things Sesame Street- and it holds up enough from both my nostalgia combined with a good plot that moves along. That's all I ask from childrens' movies.

Honestly, at the end of the movie when the title comes up and "of Mars" flashes on the screen, I was happy because it implied that John had finally found a home. If they had left the original title and then in the trailer said "and here's how he comes to be of Mars" I wouldn't have needed bribes from my mom to go see

Cartoon Express was the shit. Coupled with all the old game shows that USA used to show, it was forever on in my house when I was growing up.

Tell me about it. I have a job with no internet access, so its either post late (or the next day, mostly) or so early that there's not anyone to bounce ideas with.
