Yeah, my shoes hurt too, dad

Just wait until the big series 3 make out scene!

And I believe this is the first of the "the guys love Guided by Voices" bit.

Just like the Chevy/Jaguar thing - Don lucked into doing the right thing.

Indo-Pak?  Nuke war?   Hey, I think I quoted you in debate once!

…and really quite beautiful

Mostly when we get Matthew Berry - it goes from "my version of an office sitcom" to, well, a ludicrous display of sorts.

Aw man, you validated the troll.  Now he/she'll think their posturing is appreciated.

Glad to see everyone checked into a Friends thread to point out how much they (totally, I swear!) didn't watch it.

As long as no one asks the "nazi shark".

and he's the new Pete…and once he's moved up, there will be a new Bob…forever and ever.

The English army.  Actually, there's a movie about it a lot of people ignore, but not me, because I just read a great book about it

So…was Kinsey (I just can't think of him as anyone else) following them the whole way?   How did he know from the hand-off on the side of the highway to spike the tire?  Seems oddly lazy for Justified.

Or that the lawyer (or the psycho) called the Tonin boys and said "We have Drew, bring us the money" and when they saw the cops outside kept driving.

Poor FBI guy…first the gang goes jihad on him and then Theo Tonin threatens his family.

What rubbed me wrong was the trial - it's the "trial of the century" and there's no media scrutiny as to how the verdict came back not guilty?  No one thinks to ask the jurors why?  There are people, who at the time, thought the OJ verdict was the result of shenanigans, and he presented a vigorous defense.

And Brian Blessed!  I remember watching this on PBS as a kid and thinking, "Man, Hawkman makes a pretty good emperor"

I know; I've been trying to perfect Brian Blessed's gregarious smile turned icy stare ("Your father thought that as well", smile and laugh, "You know, he was my enemy too", stare of doom).

As noted, many of the basic characterizations, moody Tiberius, evil Livia, etc., come from Suetonius' 12 Caesars.  The intrigues are largely drawn from Tacitus.
