I have celiac disease, so I have to follow a strict gluten-free diet.  The processed stuff you can get usually does have a long list of ingredients, in an attempt to make food that tastes good and sticks together.  So yes, if you are on a GF diet, and you do NOT have gluten issues, you are probably not helping…
