If there is a black and white movie playing on cable and it is NOT between 2am and 6am, it is probably a good movie.  It is probably better than 1/2 of the current movies playing on cable.

Also, I was seeing a movie in a crowded theater (Contagion maybe?) and the promo for that Devil movie came on.  At the end it says "From the mind of M Night Shamalan."  I stood up and viciously BOOOOOO'ed the screen.  Many people laughed.  And then I poked a hole in the bottom of the popcorn bucket.

He played soprano sax a lot too - most famously on the live album w/ Zappa, Bongo Fury.  Which is all kinds of awesome.
