Dewey Defeats Truman!
Dewey Defeats Truman!
I couldn't get past "docusoap" either. I guess that's better than "reality opera".
True. Cocaine's a hell of a drug.
If Conan O'Brien singlehandedly brings back Vaudeville, I will throw him a gilded rose from my royal seating alcove.
"This is strictly off the record, but Conan is holding out on a deal with Fox until they can guarantee him two shows— one for him, and one for his sidekick."
You are no fun at all, Mr. Pooptowel.
Oh man, not this autism crap again.
Dark Passengerside Airbag- I think you answered your own question at the end of your post. Only he got helped along with the fun-poking, since Dave did a "Leno imitation voice" at the end of the spot, which was a "big deal" because Jay was seated right there to hear it.
Jorge - Or she just *threatened* to hit him. With a fucking golf club. While yelling. And trying to smash his face in.
The most absurd part of it all was Gloria Allred speaking on behalf of an ex-porn-star who believes Tiger owes her a phone call.
I gave him a coffee cup with the words, "JayLeno'smug,"printed on it, and he still hasn't gotten the joke— OR given my grandmother back her Volvo. That smug bastard!
More fun with pull quotes
"The middle of Boston…isn't a setting designed for… a… minor…female.
Fun with pull quotes
"The film opens with… Tony Blair… in the role of the suffering wife…a quietly powerful woman whose shame…has… the entertaining mix of the topical and the personal."
As a followup- actually, I took a trip to the bookstore earlier today, and the only DeLillo they had in stock was, "Great Jones Street". It looked interesting, and a couple of terrific passages jumped out, but I passed till they have some of his other titles in stock. Anyone got anything to say about "Great Jones"?
That's happened to me, too, but I'm new around these parts, so it's all I've ever known.
Moose, that is pretty cool- thanks for the infomizing… Petersen would be an unexpected director for that project, but promising too (for me at least).
Thank you for this "Where to Start" list, LoneAudience. Insightful, succint, and keenly structured. I'll be taking your advice to heart. (Seriously, this might be my project for the next quarter.)
Oh, criminy, that made me laugh way too hard.
That Franklin Institute website is cool. Apparently, they've got, "activities and ideas for inspiring scientific curiosity at home, in school, or wherever you are." Ooh, ooh, I'd like to inspire scientific curiosity wherever I am!
Absolutely. The look Jack Kruschen's wife gives Jack Lemmon is *priceless*. It contains no price.
