Perhaps in the case of Sacco's book, the medium is perhaps the problem, rather than the message. When I first read about this gigantic illustration of the first day of the Somme I kind of assumed he was drawing it across a gigantic canvas and that it would be on display in a gallery. I didn't know that he would

Well, apparently Mongo was his idea and he came up with the line, "Mongo only pawn in game of life." So, I think we can credit Pryor fully with ensuring that Mongo was everything he could be.

Watched two minutes of the film. Nearly had a seizure. I don't know how they did it. Probably needed to drink more.

Possibly my favourite moment in the Flop House "Food Fight" ep was seeing Big Dan McCoy successfully argue his way to "Good-Bad". Despite the protestations of his co-hosts, and the evident hysteria the film has engendered, Dan kept his head and laid out, matter-of-factly, why the film deserved "Good-Bad" on the basis

Best of luck with the date.

You went from worst human being to best in the space of six words.

I still think The World's End is the weakest out of the three movies. Hot Fuzz is still my favourite, but I have to admit that it took me a few viewings for that to lock into place. Maybe The World's End will be the same.

I Thor what you did there.

I love the fact that your wife refers to him as "Jack Human".

According to Brooks in his excellent 2 part interview on WTF, Pryor only wanted to write Mongo's lines.

Yeah, I think Gravity was probably at its tensest when the film was bracing you for the next thing to go wrong. Like any moment they're jetting forward through the void, unable to control their speed or direction, and we're all bracing for the moment when they'll hit the space station and the made scramble for

I hope they got a passable Randy Newman impersonator for his songs.

Morning AV Club! How are you?

FUN FACT:

Well I don't know if you follow GoT, but I'm pretty sure they'll be doing another one of those quizzes when the next season begins.

It's at a pub called The Monarch on the outskirts of Camden Town in London, England. Just up the road from where I live. They do Game Of Thrones quizzes too. I don't think they have any further plans to do a Breaking Bad quiz. And I think my guys might be banned from attending further BB quizzes like Casino hustlers.

DON'T HATE ME BECAUSE OF MY ABILITY TO REMEMBER THINGS I'VE SEEN WITH MY EYES

HEY EVERYBODY! I WENT TO A BREAKING BAD QUIZ NIGHT AND WE TOTALLY KICKED EVERYONE'S ASSES!

It's a take on Philip K Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" The protagonist in the song is unable to communicate with the outside world or understand human interaction (which is in itself a reference to Gary Numan's Asperger's syndrome) and so purchases an artificial companion known as a "Friend" (which is

I wanna meet that dad!
