I recall being somewhat pissed when my brother brought Hot Rod home from Blockbuster, thinking it would be another stupidly unfunny movie in the same vein as "Superstar" or "Night at the Roxbury."

Neil Peart (the drummer) thanked Ayn Rand in the liner notes of the album 2112 and a lot of their lyrics rely heavily on "Objectivism" and libertarianism ("Freewill", for instance)

My parents drug me along with them to a viewing of "Bringing Down the House." They laughed during the movie. I don't think I've forgiven them yet.
