I won't deny that I whipped through The Davinci Code quickly and enjoyed it while I read it, but Angels and Demons was painful to read. Maybe because I read them out of order.
I scoff at you people who watched No Country for Old Men and expected some sort of resolution or even worse… a happy ending.
I think the Coen's tend to set their own level of quality standards. As such, when one of their films is perceived to be of poor quality, it is still considerably better then most films.
