More like the band was dissolved instead of "then James left", only to later "reunite" with just Billy and Jimmy. I do think the current lineup has been a bit of revolving door, though, with the exception of the current guitarist.

Read IV last year, and I also am really excited for the movie. Interested to see how it comes across on the big screen. Only Pynchon that I've read thus far.

Hard Rain Falling is currently sitting in my stack of "read very soon" books. Never read any Carpenter before.

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold - Currently in the middle of it so far, and it's fantastic. I love me some great espionage fiction, especially when the weather turns cold and dreary like it is now (and when I can pair it with a good TV or movie spy drama, like I am with The Game).

Tastes like liquid awesomeness to me.

Old Crow… *shudders*

Have you ever visited BT? The grounds there are beautiful and the tour guide I had was fantastic. Plus, it was free!

Tom Waits, especially "Blue Valentine" and "Small Change".

Wow, that's especially sad happening right around this time of year. Sorry for your loss.

I'd rearrange the order of the first three, but I agree with these five albums.

I live in Ohio and I agree with you, since the Midwest comes right after the South when it comes to ignorant yokel caricatures. Reenforcing stupid stereotypes only exacerbates problems.

Yeah some of those movies "to see" I've seen before, and The Shining and The Thing are two of my favorite films ever. In fact, the only ones on that list that I haven't seen before are Prince of Darkness, The Birds, and Evil Dead 2 (just watched The Fog last night). I also normally save TS and TT for winter viewing

There are definitely some similarities with the idea, but Slither was probably more fun.

I'm not the biggest horror fan, so I watch a good mix of creepy movies, thrillers, mysteries, and some more lighthearted movies. So far I've watched:

Yep, immediately reminded me of that diner from Justified as well.

Oh man, so that's who she is! Thanks, that was bothering me.

I just finished The Orchard Keeper. It was very good, but you can tell McCarthy is still feeling out his own style and very-much writing in a Faulkner-ian style.

Just finished McCarthy's The Orchard Keeper which I like a lot, though it seemed a little more… abstract at times compared to some of his other novels.

Do you mean Attica!, or Wussy's self-titled album that came out a few years go? Either way, they're both great! Glad to see them on your list.
